Biography:
Thaal Sinestro is a prominent character in the DC universe, known for his complex journey from hero to villain. He first appeared in *Green Lantern* #7 (July 1961). Hailing from the planet Korugar, Sinestro was initially considered the greatest of the Green Lantern Corps.
His effectiveness stemmed from his rigid adherence to order and his often ruthless methods, which involved imposing his will upon the sectors he was assigned to protect. His increasing authoritarianism led to clashes with Hal Jordan, his protégé, and eventually to his expulsion from the Lantern Corps.
Stripped of his green power ring, Sinestro was banished to the antimatter universe of Qward. There, he forged a yellow power ring fueled by fear, becoming the nemesis of the Green Lanterns and forming his own Sinestro Corps, designed to instill terror throughout the universe.
